The Rose Hips is an indie rock duo consisting of Dane Schumacher and Michael Marguet based in Los Angeles, California. A while back, Dane and Michael began teasing their song “Spacey” on TikTok. “Spacey” quickly became very popular online, and fans wanted more music from the duo. The duo released their first EP, Into the Garden, on August 13th and announced a short tour only in four cities: Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
The New York show was at Nightclub 101, an iconic venue for artists who are just starting out. Both Dane and Michael had good stage presence when performing the songs on their setlist. Their dynamic with the band was super memorable. They sang songs from their new EP and some unreleased tracks as well. The crowd was super engaged and sang along enthusiastically. Everyone was most excited for “Spacey;” they sang along and knew every lyric.
The Rose Hips was recently announced as an opener for the 2027 DogParks tour, and tickets are on sale this month. The Rose Hips’ music is on all streaming platforms, and they’re definitely worth checking out!
