On October 9, 2025, Tune-Yards (stylized as tune-yards) put on an incredible performance at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom. This show wrapped up their fall tour with a night filled with innovative pop, bold experimentation, and deep emotion.
Lead artists Merrill Garbus and Nate Brenner mixed popular fan favorites with standout tracks from their newest album, Better Dreaming. Songs like “Heartbreak,” “Swarm,” and “How Big Is the Rainbow?” highlighted Garbus’s live vocal loops, ukulele riffs, and complex percussion, along with Brenner’s adventurous, textured bass. Each song changed the mood, genre, and rhythm, blending afrobeat, lo-fi, pop, rock, and electronic sounds.
The Bowery Ballroom’s cozy setup strengthened this connection, letting the audience dive into every experimental moment. By the end of the night, it was evident that Tune-Yards’ performance was more than just a concert; it was a shared experience that brought the audience together through the powerful magic of music.
