Mini Trees recently made a stop at Brooklyn, New York’s Union Pool while on the way to Boston’s Something in the Way Festival. Mini Trees’s friends, indie acts Work Wife and Sofia Wolfson opened the night.
Union Pool was a fantastic choice for the show, as it set a cozy and relaxed environment for the evening. After doors opened at 7pm, audience members slowly streamed into the performance room with drinks and merch in hand. Sofia went on first and played an acoustic set; the audience respectfully swayed and cheered during and after each song. In contrast, Work Wife brought a full band sound to the stage. This allowed for a seamless transition to Mini Trees’s set, which featured a mix of both quieter and more upbeat songs.
After a short set break after Work Wife, Mini Trees walked out and instantly launched into the fan favorite “Moments In Between.” Over the next hour, Mini Trees played a number of songs from their recent EP, 2024’s “Burn Out,” including Shapeshifter and Push and Pull. Some other picks for the Saturday evening setlist were “Underwater” and “Steady Me.”
It was an incredible night of music! Be sure to catch all three acts next time they’re on tour.
